摘要(Abstract):Parity violation (PV) effects are common in modified gravity theories and can leave distinct signatures in gravitational waves (GWs). In this talk, I will present our work on constructing PV gravitational theories and their implications for GWs. First, we construct ghost-free PV scalar-tensor theories with higher derivatives using PV spatially covariant gravity. Next, we demonstrate the existence of PV spatially covariant gravity theories (and thus PV scalar-tensor theories) in which both GW polarization modes propagate at the speed of light. Third, by extending to non-Riemannian frameworks, we explore the construction of symmetric teleparallel gravity with PV and its GW signatures. Finally, I will discuss scalar-induced GWs in various PV-modified gravity theories, including Chern-Simons gravity, PV scalar-tensor theory, and non-Riemannian gravity.
报告人简介(Bio):高显,中山大学物理与天文学院教授,博士生导师。2010年博士毕业于中国科学院理论物理研究所,先后在法国巴黎第七大学、日本东京工业大学和东京大学从事博士后研究,2016年进入中山大学工作。主要研究方向为引力理论与宇宙学,包括修改引力理论及相关宇宙学模型,原初暴胀与宇宙学扰动引力波,等等。在国内外学术刊物发表学术论文60余篇,出版教材1部。现任中国物理学会引力与相对论天体物理分会委员。
