报告简介:Klein tunneling refers to the quantum tunneling effect of relativistic particles when they meet a high potential step or barrier. Although not observed in particle physics due to the difficulty of generating a huge electric or gravitational potential, it has been observed in graphene which hosts massless Dirac fermions. In this talk, I will introduce two novel effects related to Klein tunneling. One is called spin-nonconserving Klein tunneling, during which process the effective spin of quasiparticles is not conserved. The other is the Klein tunneling of Weyl magnons, which could affect the magnetotransport of magnetic systems. The concept of Klein tunneling, originated ninety years ago, still shines to physical researches nowadays.


报告人简介:王陆洋,中山大学特聘研究员,本科毕业于浙江大学,师从万歆教授,博士毕业于佛罗里达州立大学,随后在杨振宁先生创办的清华大学高等研究院做博后。研究方向为凝聚态体系中的拓扑态。迄今为止,在Nat. Phys., Phys.Rev.Lett.等发表论文十余篇。
