In this talk, I review general aspects on zero-order processes in Quantum Electrodynamics with t-electric steps as external backgrounds and discuss, in particular, the most important quantities characterizing vacuum instability, such as the differential mean numbers of pairs created from the vacuum, total numbers and probabilities of a vacuum remain a vacuum. All these quantities are specialized to the inverse square electric field, corresponding to an electric field inversely proportional to time squared
报告人简介:
Majored in physics at the University of São Paulo State – UNESP (2001 – 2005). M. Sc. (2007- 2009) and Ph. D. (2009 - 2013) in Physics at the University of São Paulo. Postdoctoral positions at the University of São Paulo – USP (2013 - 2015), University of Florida – UF (2013 – 2014) and at the Tomsk State University – TSU (2015 - 2018). Experience in quantum mechanics and field theory on noncommutative spaces, canonical quantization of systems with constraints and quantization by coherent states. Research interests mostly on vacuum instability and vacuum polarization effects in Quantum Electrodynamics with strong external electromagnetic backgrounds. His current research includes the calculation of differential and total quantities characterizing the vacuum instability in QED within the generalized Furry representation and the study of vacuum polarization effects in the framework of effective actions.
