报告摘要: In this talk, I will discuss two topics: the first is the study of gravitational lensing for rotating and non-rotating black holes. Second topic would be relativistic accretion models for static black holes.

Dr. Mubasher Jamil received B. Sc. Degree in 2001 from the University of Punjab, Lahore and M. Sc. Degree (Mathematics) in 2004
from the Quaid-i-Azam University
, Islamabad. He completed PhD from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad,
Pakistan in 2010 under supervision of Prof. Asghar Qadir. He joined NUST-School of Natural Sciences (SNS)
soon after finishing PhD in 2010 as Assistant Professor.
During 2010-11, he visited twice the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics in Italy
as a High Energy Junior Guest Scientist. From Feb. 2012 till Feb. 2013, he worked as a Foreign Visiting
Professor at the Department of Physics, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana, Kazakhstan.
He has published 130 research papers in ISI listed journals (total citations = 4051 via Google Scholar,
total impact factor = 315.375) including an Invited Review, one Invited Chapter and 2 books in the
field of General Relativity and Cosmology published by a German publisher (Lambert). He has also
successfully supervised 7 MS thesis (3 in Physics and 4 in Mathematics) at NUST. He has collaborated
with 68 local and foreign scientists from USA, Japan, Finland, Greece, Turkey, South Africa, Iran,
India and Italy. He has presented research papers at numerous national and international conferences
held in France, South Korea, Italy, Kazakhstan and Pakistan as invited and plenary speaker. He is also honored
to serve as Session Chair at various international conferences. He is an active referee for many ISI listed scientific
journals and has been in the organizing committees of two international conferences on physics as well.
