Title: Optimal orientation and spacing of photobioreactor panels on Earth

Abstract: We consider the array of photobioreactor(PBR) panels in which micro-alga are cultivated with water. The array is inevitable to harvest a vast amount of micro-alga.

The point here is the optimal orientation and the spacing between panels which play a central role in using the solar radiation during a time period.

To do this, therefore, three parts of astronomical phenomena have to be solved:

(1) the solar position calculation, (2) the solar radiation model on the specified ground of Earth, and (3) the shade and illumination effect caused by the array of panels.

Based on these computations, we could find the optimal orientation and spacing of panels in the PBR array at a given location on Earth.
