Title: Universal bounds in holographic metals: To be, or not to be?
Abstract: Transport in strongly-disordered metallic systems is governed by
diffusive processes. Based on holography as well as quantum mechanics, it
has been conjectured that the thermoelectric conductivities and
diffusivities obey several universal lower bounds. In this talk, I will
introduce some effective holographic models of metals with momentum
relaxation and show that the higher derivative terms have strong impacts on
the conductivities and the charge diffusion, and there are violation of the
proposed bounds on them.
Speaker：Wei-Jia Li obtained Ph.D from Beijing Normal university, then got a
postdoc position in the University of Crete hosted by Dr Elias Kiritsis, is
now an associated professor in Dalian University of Technology. He
currently works on general relativity, field theory and application of
gauge/gravity duality on condensed matter physics.

Kiritsis。现任大连理工大学物理学院副教授。主要研究方向为广义相对论、场论和全息引力对偶在凝聚态物理中的应用等。
