摘要:In 1950s, Arnowit, Deser and Misner gave the Hamiltonian formalism of Einstein equations and proposed the well known positive mass conjecture. It was solved by Schoen-Yau and Witten using different technics almost 30 years later. After their works, the study in this area turned to localization of ADM mass gradually. In this talk, I will give a brief introduction of the study of mass problem and vacuum static space-time. Also, I will talk about the idea of the proof of positive mass theorem for Brown-York mass with respect to generic three dimensional vacuum static metric under certain physical assumptions.
报告人简历:
袁伟,博士,2015年毕业于美国加州大学圣克鲁斯分校并取得理学博士学位。现任中山大学数学学院副研究员,主要研究方向为几何分析与广义相对论的几何理论。此前曾赴法国庞加莱数学研究所(IHP)及奥地利薛定谔研究所(ESI)等多地进行学术访问。目前已在Mathematische Annalen,Calculus of Variations &PDE,Journal of Geometric Analysis 等学术期刊上发表研究论文数篇。相关研究涉及真空静态时空的分类,数量曲率的刚性以及Q-曲率的形变理论等多个领域。
