摘要：A problem on the 29th International Mathematics Olympiad (1988) was so beautiful and so cleverly designed that it is still frequently quoted and discussed today. In this talk, we shall recall the brilliant solution of this problem by a young Bulgarian student, and tell a couple of stories that are associated with this whole event. The talk concludes with an interesting (but less challenging) number-theoretic exercise for the audience.
