报告摘要：

　　We will talk about connections between symmetries and conservation laws in soliton theory. The adopted tools are Hamiltonian pairs, Lax pairs, symmetries and adjoint symmetries. The talk is self-contained and shows some basic techniques in soliton theory.

报告人简介：

　　马文秀（Wen-Xiu Ma）教授是美国南佛罗里达大学终身教授、可积系统与孤立子理论领域著名专家，研究领域覆盖应用数学、数学物理、计算机符号计算等方向。为上海启明星学者、德国洪堡学者、中国国家外国专家局特聘教授、及《非线性科学百科全书》可积系统部分唯一华裔特邀撰稿人。现任美国、英国、加拿大等7个国家相关基金会专业评审委员和终审组委员、担任《Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physics》等20多种国际著名科学杂志的主编或编委。
