报告题目：The Hunter-Saxton equation and its two-component generalization

摘要：We will show how the Hunter-Saxton equation and its two-component generalization can be obtained from KP-Toda hierarchy. It is interesting that the two-component Hunter-Saxton equation and the Camassa-Holm equation share the same set of bilinear equations but through different hodograph transformations. If time permits, I will show how to construct semi-discrete and fully discrete Hunter-Saxton equation based on Hirota’s bilinear approach.
