摘要(Abstract):Ensuring access to clean water, particularly in industrial settings, remains a significant challenge in the 21st century. Conventional wastewater treatment methods often suffer from inefficiencies, high operational costs, and limited scalability, creating the need for advanced, cost-effective, and sustainable alternatives. This talk explores the potential of water plasma and liquid plasma technologies, with particular emphasis on underwater plasma discharge for flowing waste water treatment under high fluid flow rates. The work focused on the influence of applied voltage and frequency on plasma dynamics and treatment performance in liquid environments. Optical emission spectroscopy is used to characterize key plasma parameters, including electron temperature (Te), gas temperature (Tg), and electron number density (ne), providing insight into discharge behavior and reactive-species generation.

报告人简介(Bio)Niaz Wali, Dr. Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Qilu Institute of Technology, Jinan, Shandong, China. Ph.D. in Experimental Plasma Physics, Zhejiang University, China, 2017-2024, Plasma physicist specializing in low-temperature plasma systems, including low-pressure capacitively, coupled plasma, atmospheric-pressure jets, underwater liquid plasma discharge, plasma diagnostics, microbial decontamination, plasma-based water treatment, and agriculture-oriented plasma applications.
